Hotel descriptionPonent Mar was built in 1989 and expanded in 2017 with 189 rooms, distributed over eight floors. They are accessed from the fourth floor and is built in perfect harmony with the surroundings, facing the sea. It has been completely renovated in several phases, always respecting its original 11000 m² of garden. It has a reception area and five elevators for easy access.There is two swimming pools. One of them is located on the main floor, the outdoor family pool, with an area of 350 m² with a childrens pool. We offer free sunbeds and parasol service, as well as surveillance by specialized personnel and pool towels service on request. After the expansion of 2017 we have a second pool in the attic of the building, called Sky pool, with free sunbeds and parasol service and also with the best views of the bay.We have a conference room, with audio-visual equipment, internet connection and attended by our bar staff, when requested.There is also an entertainment program aimed at both children and adults, live music evenings, always respecting the atmosphere of tranquillity in our complex.We must not forget to mention the free parking for our clients (45 spaces ± 3 handicap spaces), as well as motorcycle parking.Given the great development of bicycle touring, the hotel has set up a special space where customers can store their bikes for free. In spring and autumn there are cycling activities, where our clients can hire guides or rent quality bicycles, on request.LocationThe hotel has a privileged location, on the south coast of Mallorca, specifically on a cliff in Palmanova, facing the sea, where the views and tranquillity convey an atmosphere of calm and relaxation. The closest beach is about 200 meters and Palmanova centre is 250 meters. In addition, there are four beaches and several coves within 2 kilometres.Palma, the most important city on the island, is located 12 kms. and it has easy access, by public transport or by taxi. Just two kilometres away from us we find Puerto Portals, a luxurious reference port in the Mediterranean, with numerous and famous restaurants, as well as nightlife venues.Near the hotel there are several golf courses (Poniente, Bendinat, Santa Ponsa), a water park (Western Water Park), animal park (Marineland), and famous shows (Pirates adventure), as well as numerous restaurants and nightlife.There is a promenade, where numerous runners exercise in the morning, endless cycling routes, with ascents to small mountains of 250 to 500 meters. We have two restaurants, our Buffet restaurant with breakfast and dinner service, making it easy to buy half board or simply for the days you want. Our staff is ready to assist you if you have any type of allergy. We have a second restaurant, called Amura, where we offer an a la carte service for lunch and dinner whilst admiring fabulous views of the bay of Palma Nova.Bar services. We have two options. Firstly, our Lounge- Bar, located on the main floor, with an extensive menu of drinks, sandwiches, as well as snacks and ice cream. Our recently opened bar, El Cielo, located in the attic to service our Sky Pool, an adults-only area. With drinks service and during the summer months some music evenings.Reception service. Our reception, attended by qualified personnel, will give you 24 hours of service in different languages (Spanish, French, English, German, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish) and will gladly assist you in any enquires you may have.Gym and Spa.
