In between all the mainland areas of the Greek landscape, the southernmost part, Mani, an infertile and dry place/land/spot with its steep mountains, the impenetrable at a first glance coasts and the magnificent caves of Diros, has always attracted the interest of the tourists. In between the scattered “tower-built” villages one can find Areopoli, standing before the gate of Mani.
