Roxani Hotel is situated in Amoudara, a lovely tourist resort with a beautiful long beach just 6 km west of Heraklion and only 150 m far from a well-organised sandy beach. Along the street are also souvenir shops, taverns, restaurants and bars, and in the evening one goes along here for a stroll. It offers a beautiful view to the mountains where Rogdia is built in terraces and with a panoramic view. From here a walk to the higher situated monastery of Savvathiana is worthwhile. There are medical centres and the local bus service provides regular connections to the centre of Heraklion and airport every 15 minutes.
