ATMs, Credit Cards, Foreign Exchange
Is one of your biggest fears arriving at Disney and realizing you may be a little short of cash? Not a problem! ATM machines featuring Honor®, Cirrus®, and Plus® systems are conveniently located throughout Walt Disney World property.

Epcot: Locations (3) include outside the park (near the kennels), the east side of the walkway to the World Showcase (near the Odyssey bridge), and Germany in the World Showcase.
Disney;s Hollywood Studios: Locations (2) include the right side of the main entrance and New York Street (near Toy Story Pizza Planet).
Disney's Animal Kingdom: Locations (1) include the right side of the main entrance (near Garden Gates Gifts).
Downtown Disney: Locations (4) include House of Blues and near Forty Thirst Street on the West Side; between Rock n Roll Beach Club and Wildhorse Saloon in Pleasure Island; near Harrington Bay Clothier in the Marketplace.
In addition you will find ATMs in all of the Walt Disney World Resorts and the Disney Crossroads Shopping Center. It's common to find ATM machines in Central Florida almost around every corner. Keep in mind there will be a transaction fee charged each time you use an ATM, so plan accordingly to avoid being charged for multiple uses.
The ATM at the entrance of Epcot is to the far left just before you enter the park. If you choose to use this ATM mid-visit, remember to have your hand stamped upon exiting at the turnstiles to avoid any problems re-entering the park.
BANKING OR FOREIGN EXCHANGE
SunTrust, the official bank of the Walt Disney World Resort, is located across from the Downtown Disney Marketplace. In the lobby of the SunTrust building full-service banking is offered, including foreign exchange.
SunTrust is opened 9am to 4pm weekdays, until 6pm Thursday, with drive-in teller service available from 8am to 6pm. For further information you can telephone SunTrust at (407) 828-6106.
CREDIT CARDS
Now a few points of interest related to green matter and its plastic counterpart. Accommodations, dining, tickets and merchandise may be purchased with cash, Traveler's checks (in U.S. dollars), American Express, Discover Card, MasterCard, Visa, The Disney Credit Card and/or Disney Dollars. In most cases a personal check can also be used if it is drawn on a U.S. bank and presented with a valid driver's license and a current major credit card.
If you have a MasterCard or Visa debit card for your checking account that will be treated just like a credit card. However, it's important that any recent deposits have actually cleared your bank before using. In other words, don't make the deposit on the day you plan to use the card and expect the funds to be available that day. Most banks now have a holding time of up to 3-4 days before allowing new deposits to be used.
Full-service and fast food restaurants in the parks all accept the above-mentioned credit cards. Refreshment stands operate on a cash-only basis.
Walt Disney World Resort guests who have left a credit card imprint at check-in may use their hotel ID to cover purchases made in shops and lounges, meals at full-service and fast food restaurants, and recreational fees. Walt Disney World Resorts accept the following credit cards for check-in: American Express, Diners Club Card, Discover Card, Japanese Credit Bureau, MasterCard, Visa, and The Disney Credit Card.
DISNEY DOLLARS CAN BE USED JUST LIKE CASH!
Disney Dollars can be used for food, merchandise, and recreational purchases throughout the Walt Disney World Resort and at any of The Disney Store locations across the nation. U.S. dollars can be exchanged for Disney Dollars (face value) at The Disney Store nearest your home, Walt Disney World ticket booths, Guest Relations, and Resort Guest Services locations once you arrive. Disney Dollars can be exchanged back to U.S. currency at any time (again, at face value), but most people opt to keep them as an inexpensive souvenir.
