Walt Disney World Kennels

This Article Was Contributed by Denice

Proud members of the American Boarding Kennel Association, you can be assured of your pets well being when you vacation at Walt Disney World. All five facilities are air conditioned and well maintained, giving you various options of a day stay, overnight, or right at your Fort Wilderness Campsite. Please remember, with the exception of service dogs, pets are not permitted on Resort grounds, Theme Parks or Disney Transportation systems.

Kennel fees are per animal, per day. Overnight boarding is also available. At the Transportation and Ticket Center, Epcot Theme Park and Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground locations, the rate includes 2 walks and 2 feedings per day. At Disney's Hollywood Studios Theme Park and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Guests are required to walk and exercise their pets 2 times daily.

Kennel Reservations: Disney Resort hotel reservations do not guarantee a kennel space for your pets. Reservations at the kennels are not required but are suggested. Guests should call the kennel for reservation information.

You must provide a certificate of vaccination signed by a licensed veterinarian including: Rabies, D.H.P.P., and Bordetella for dogs; Rabies, Panleukopenia, Rhinotracheitus, and Calcivirus for cats. No native wildlife or exotic species are allowed in the kennels. Two things to keep in mind:

  • Dogs will need to be exercised twice daily; three times daily for puppies.
  • Always be mindful of cleaning up after your pet and disposing properly.

At Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground:

Any pet owners who fail to abide by these guidelines will be asked to board their pet at the kennel.

  • Pets are restricted to the designated campsites/loops; i.e. Full Hook-Ups.
  • Resort Guests in tents and pop-up campers will need to use the Fort Wilderness Kennel to board their pets.
  • Pets are to be leashed (tether must not exceed 8 ft.) at all times and not be able to roam freely at the campsite.
  • Be respectful of other campers. Don't leave your pet unattended, causing them to whine or bark.
  • If you will be away from your campsite during the day, please board your pet at the air conditioned Fort Wilderness Kennel.
