Tomorrowland Transit Authority

Location: Tomorrowland

Calling Mr. Morrow, Mr. Tom-Morrow...

The Tomorrowland Transit Authority or TTA is an attraction that allows a short, 10-minute break from the hustle and bustle of Tomorrowland as well as a restful, cooling ride as you feel the breeze from your almost 7 mph motion along the track. This system was originally called the WEDWay People Mover (taking the WED from Walt's initials). The TTA is a large loop with one central station, Rockettower Plaza, which is situated at the top of a travelator below the Astro Orbiter ride.

The TTA is powered by linear synchronous motors which powers the vehicles through electrical current. Although there are theoretically three lines: Red, Green and Blue, it is the Blue Line that offers this ride which passes through several of the attraction buildings. The ride vehicles are actually called Metroliners and seat 4 guests per car with 5 cars making up a Metroliner. There are a total of 32 Metroliners.

As of May 2009 the TTA is closed for refurbishment in line with the Space Mountain refurb through which a large portion of the TTA ride transits. There is no official line regarding what changes, if any, will be made to the TTA.
