Disney's Animal Kingdom Attractions & Entertainment

Oasis

  • The Oasis Exhibits
    Look out for the giant anteater, exotic boar, Hyacinth macaw and many, many more amazing animals.

Discovery Island Attractions

  • Discovery Island Trails
    This is a series of walkways that surround and wind themselves among the Tree of Life. Permanent guests of these trails include a wide display of birds, including beautiful flamingos and colorful toucans. A wide array of other wildlife also make their home here. So keep your camera's handy while on this scenic trail.

  • It's Tough to Be a Bug (FP)
    This is a wonderful 3-D movie which takes place inside a 430-seat theater inside the base of the Tree of Life. This hilariously funny show is hosted by a troupe of incredible insects who educate all visitors as to their take on the Earth. Some surprises are in store for everyone donning their 3-D bug eye glasses, so it's best for you to use your discretion, if attending with small children.

  • The Tree of Life
    This is a soaring, 145-foot spectacle. Into its glorious trunk and base you will find more than 320 hand-carved animal images, all the work of Disney artisans. In addition to being a favorite photo back-drop for many Disney guests, the Tree of Life is home to 2 attractions for all to enjoy, Safari Village Trails and It's Tough to Be a Bug.

Camp Minnie-Mickey

  • Camp Minnie-Mickey Greeting Trails
    Pose for photos and sign autographs in this outdoor meet-and-greet area where some of Disney's most popular characters gather.

  • Festival of the Lion King
    This 30-minute stage show, features your favorite characters from the blockbuster movie of the same name. This show features some great costumes, acrobatics, animatronics, song and dance.

Africa

  • Kilimanjaro Safaris (FP)
    This is perhaps Africa's most popular attraction. Here you will board your Safari vehicle and be taken on a 20-minute journey through the beautiful Serengeti, and meet creatures of many shapes and sizes.

  • Pangani Forest Exploration Trail
    This is a self guided walking trail, which takes you on a tour of some of the Animal Kingdom's permanent animal residents and their habitats.

Rafiki's Planet Watch

  • Affection Section
    Come here to get up close and personal with friendly animals in this shaded petting yard.

  • Conservation Station
    In Harambe, board the Wildlife Express at the Harambe Train Station and take a ride to Conservation Station. Conservation Station is home to many exhibits, which include Affection Section, Animal Cams, Animal and Health Care, Eco Heroes, Eco Web, Rafiki's Planet Watch, and Song of the Rainforest. All exhibits are intended to not only entertain, but to also educate guests on the reality of endangered animals and to show them how they can support wildlife programs.

  • Habitat Habit!
    Take a walk on the wild side! You'll see amazing cotton-top tamarins on this leg of the outdoor discovery trail. Plus, you'll get helpful hints on how to share the world, and your own backyard, with animals.

  • Wildlife Express Train
    Hop on for a rustic train ride to Rafiki's Planet Watch. After exploring, reboard the train for a trip back to Africa. Trains leave every 5-7 minutes.

Asia

  • Expedition Everest (FP)
    This is a big thrill, roller coaster-type ride for big kids, teens and adults filled with high-altitude drops, hairpin turns and a close encounter with the inhospitable inhabitant of the Forbidden Mountain -- the infamous Yeti.

  • Flights of Wonder
    Have a seat in this 1000-seat theater and enjoy a feathery performance by actors representing more than 20 different bird species.

  • Kali River Rapids (FP)
    Prepare to get soaking wet on the best river-rapid ride in all of Florida. On Kali River Rapids guest board a 12-seat raft and are taken on a river expedition through a beautiful forest which has been gutted by loggers. Either wear your swimsuit, or bring your Mickey-poncho. On this ride you either get wet or soaking wet!

  • Maharajah Jungle Trek
    This is a self-guided walking tour which takes you through the jungle. Be sure to bring your camera to snap photos of tigers, waterfalls, birds, and giant fruit bats.

DinoLand, U.S.A.

  • The Boneyard
    This is a cleverly themed playground modeled to look like a dinosaur dig site. Kids will have a ball unearthing a dinosaur skeleton, crossing bridges, and following in the footsteps of dinosaurs. A great place for kids to take a break.

  • DINOSAUR (FP)
    This is a thrilling 3-1/2 minute ride on a time vehicle where you try to bring an iguanodon to the present, before a giant meteorite hits the earth. Complete with some awesome and scary special effects, this is one of Animal Kingdom's ultimate thrill rides.

  • Finding Nemo -- The Musical
    This 30-minute musical-theater adaptation of Disney·Pixar's movie, Finding Nemo, will amaze audiences of all ages.

  • Fossil Fun Games
    Try your hand at these carnival-style games with a prehysterical dino twist.

  • Primeval Whirl (FP)
    This prehysterical spinning coaster sends you through a maze of curves, hills, drops, and the jaws of a dinosaur. You won't be able to control your laughter -- or the spinning!

  • TriceraTop Spin
    Board a friendly Triceratops dinosaur and move up, down and around as the entire ride magically transforms into a giant spinning toy top. Watch out for those flying comets!
