Disney's Wide World of Sports®

Disney's Wide World of SportsDisney's Wide World of Sports® Complex is situated South of the junction of Osceola Parkway and Victory Way close to Pop Century Resort. It was opened in 1997 with an exhibition baseball match between the Atlanta Braves and the Cincinnati Reds. It has been stated that the Wide World of Sports® will be re-branded under the ESPN banner but no date has yet been set for that change. There is also a plan announced by the company to build a 100-lane bowling alley which would hold USBC tournaments. Completion is slated for 2010.

Wide World of Sports® Currently Has the Following Venues

Champion Stadium: a 9,500 seat baseball stadium that, from time to time, sees home games for the Tampa Bay Rays and the spring training season of the Atlanta Braves.

Milk House: a 5,000 seat multi-function assembly sponsored by the National Dairy Association.

Jostens Center: a 75,000 sq. ft. arena sponsored by the class-ring maker which will host multiple sports including basketball, volleyball and roller hockey.

Hess Sports Fields: Presented by Hess Corp, these eight multi-function fields can host various grass sports and are lit for night play. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers NFL team has conducted training at this field.

Baseball Quadraplex: Four professional baseball fields with multiple support fields that host baseball training activities.

Diamondplex: Hosts six softball and youth baseball games.

Centre Court Stadium: 1,000 to 8,500 seat ten-court tennis complex.

Cross-country Course: Multi-purpose fields, Track & Field Complex and a 0.7 mile wooded trail.

Track & Field Complex: 500 seat competition facility for track & field events to IAAF standards.


For your dining needs there is a quick-service restaurant located at the entrance to the Sports Complex. It offers burgers, sandwiches, salads, and pasta dishes as well as an assortment of desserts and beverages. There is a full bar inside the restaurant that is open during restaurant operating hours. In addition there are concession stands and carts located throughout the complex. Operating hours may vary based on competition schedules and/or seasons.

COOLER POLICY
Guests will not be permitted to carry coolers into Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex except as follows:

Each guest may bring in a single cooler of up to one gallon in size for personal use. Coaches may bring a single cooler into the facility of up to five gallons for team use.

Guests with special dietary needs (i.e. medical conditions, religious doctrine, etc.) may bring in food for their personal consumption.

No glass bottles or alcoholic beverages will be permitted.

Lockable storage is not available to store coolers or other personal belongings. Disney's Wide World of Sports® is not responsible for personal items that are lost or stolen.

PARKING
Parking is free at Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex. In the event the Sports Complex parking lots fill to capacity, guests will be directed to alternate parking locations.

Directions:
Exit 24C to World Drive from eastbound I-4. Follow Disney's directional signs to Wide World Of Sports®, exit right on to Osceola Parkway to Victory Way.

Westbound on I-4, exit 25B- again follow the directional signs exit right to Osceola Parkway to Victory Way on right.
