Water Park Helpful Hints
-
Remember, the Florida sun is hot, don't forget to apply and reapply (several times) sunscreen while in the water parks, or your Florida fun can turn into Florida torture, especially for little ones.
-
Picnic baskets and coolers are welcome in all Disney water parks, but no alcohol or glass containers are allowed.
-
Parking, tubes, and life jackets are available free of charge at all Disney's water parks. Although you must leave a refundable deposit if you need to use a life jacket.
-
Remember, arrive early in the morning as the water parks fill up fast on hot days, especially if you wish to lay claim to a beach chair.
-
Water is fun, but can be dangerous, keep a close eye on all little ones, life jackets or not, the watchful eye of a parent cannot be replaced by any life saving device.
-
One-piece swimsuits are best for the more adventurous ladies in the water parks.
-
Hold onto all sunglasses while in the wave pools, or you may find yourself at the gift shop needing to buy another pair.
-
Blizzard Beach has a 220 ft. water slide that will turn your pockets inside out and does not allow you to wear swim shoes. Loose items in your pockets are at risk here. Rent a locker or have someone else hold your pocket contents. (Pat B, 05/03)
